There was something primal and raw… that connected with me… and as I was trying to makes sense of it all… This seemed the route… Bands like Misfits and the Samhain… these lead to my friendship with Bloody F Mess that has lasted since 1985… and through that, the band I started in 1989/90… and carried off and on throughout the 90’s and eventually ended in 2010…
Hundreds of shows attended, the dozen played, and the forever ringing in my ear… all can be traced back to Tim Bowles handing me a cassette tape that had this album on it…
I would venture into other harder forms of music (some thrash Slayer/Metallica) even tried mellowing out some… but I always returned back to punk… even now, as I have “hung up my boots”… The punk rock of the 80’s and the hardcore of the 90’s were very crucial in how I presented myself and how I wished to be identified.
